Evils to the Worlds Models and Fashion

Like any occupation and industry there is evil to working under the sun. The cultures of the world are many and each culture is devised by the innovations of mankind. We have in us the freedom to choose to believe in Jesus Christ and the freedom to choose to do evil. However even with the grandest of intentions some of us are naive of what evils other fashion and devise in culture. The world markets are vast and even to go as far as market the souls of those enslaved to the evils of culture.
In my youth thinking of models and culture was nothing to me. Just something to do with living. I was naive and as the 80's fads stormed through the markets and then back out. I had been assaulted by punk rock culture , glam rock, 80's jock cultures and the fashions of anarchy. Thus the temptations of my youth were abundant and I escaped the 80's by the skin of my teeth. Many were not so lucky and were devoured up into a pit of the evils to culture. In the 90's Bill Clinton had become president and cross culture integration was taking over like a great cloud of darkness consuming the nations. This cross culture bombardment created alot of tensions especially just shortly after the punk rock cultures and George Bush redneck crusades in the middle east.  The fashions where mutilations of corporate greed drawn into plans from a seamstress and a queer focus study for world trends.
The bible tells us to be modest about our dress. In all aspects of christianity we should never really go along with the models of this world or desire to be like them. Its so easy for people to consider models to be christian harmless people and some are. However what I found out is most arn't. Growing up I had a sister who was competing at dancing and baton. After dancing she went to cheerleading and dance team at the school. As a young girl she was wearing oodles of make up like a cheap hooker. With tiny little outfits that in no way resembled christian attire. It was to train a young lady to dress up like a little hooker to entertain adults. Pretty much it was like a cheap thrill for adults to watch their little girls in cheap outfits with tons of make up on and sparkly things with tassles hanging on the outfits. Sounds like what a cheap hooker would wear right?. Most people think nothing of it. I know my mother thought nothing of it. I had the grandmother who wears that bright red lipstick caked on so thick it looks like she has fake lips. Oh and she loved to say come give grandma a kiss.  So I guess if grandma caked on the makeup the rest of the girls in the family could. Who was to say it was wrong?.
One of the girls my sister danced with was a young pageanter. She had red hair and lived in Newburg , Oregon. She became miss teen USA. I used to sit with her in the balcony during recitals. I learned how nasty and stuck up young woman could get from my sister and her friends. My sister was such a phony christian it reaked of conformity to the school systems. She dated the same guy supposedly for several years from the age of 12 or 13 to 22 or 23.  He was a letterman Jock in most sports. A tall 6'5 basketball player, baseball, football player. I found her once at a party when I was 14. She was one of the only girls with a house full of drunk college guys and some highschoolers. My friend new the musician who lived at the house thats why I was there. No matter what her friends did it was ok and nothing was wrong with it. Her girlfriends were very promiscous and that was always just normal ofcourse. No matter what the Lords word tells us. My sister babysitted at a local protistant church for sunday school. Also she attended a pentecostal kindergarten.  She was youre typical protistant hypocrite I guess. No real convictions it was all just to please the parents or teachers or whatever might appear to be christian .    So I learned the evils to females in and out. I love my sister and she has since made changes in her life now a mother of two boys and has been married to the same man since she was 27 now 43.  She fellowships with the LDS church. Her husband like her had some soul seeking to do. She had become a proffesional cheerleader for the Portland Trail Blazers. Her she was cheering on one of the most infamous of basketball teams when it comes to drugs and behavior. I never became a sports fan to say the least.  So the glorification of the flesh and all the rivalry of the flesh she had become quite versed in. She lived in sin with a bodybuilder for a few years. There was alot going on in our family and she did start getting more serious about church. I had pretty much written her off. After hearing tell me she hated me growing up and watching her parade around like she was jezebell the jock goddess. I had my own life to live and was serious about the Lord when I became adult. I had shunned evil as much as I could being public schooled as a kid. When I finally became adult I headed straight for safer pastures.
Until I was in my 30's I didnt start to experience how evil the modeling world is. I had my mind on my youth and the training of the Holy Spirit.  When I first started to use the internet thats when my first seduction by the Modeling world started to hit me. I had pretty much shunned it in my child hood and figured I was well taught what is wrong or right about it. So being aware I was able to avoid what was about to consume my hours of peace. After I enlisted in the army I moved to Hollywood. It only took a few days before I had my encounters with the modeling crowds. Several inspiring models male and female lived at the hotel I was living in. Inspiring models where all over the city. No matter how dirty the city was they seemed to love to parade around in little to nothing to wear and fancying every bit of it. The more sinfull the fancier the model was to be in the modeling scene's eyes. Atleast the nightclubbing scene. There was so many phony modeling agents and photographers around. They trick young women into taking off their clothes and offer them phony shoots telling them they are really going to get them jobs but either offer them porn shoots or hire them to sleep with them and use them at parties to make it seem like a popular night club or to entertain others. They dont really pay them alot of times they just invite them and because of the exposure to the public they that is considered the compensation for their time.  It's serious they live the way they do. I suppose many had christian parents and would swear they are the church.  One time a model from washington D.C. was living in the hotel where I was staying . She was living with two brothers who were security guards. They were asking her to marry them and she was getting freaked out she said. She asked if she could stay in our room. My friend let her. He was a rapper. She had a crack addiction and was smoking crack in the bathroom every ten minutes. She told us her story and was really a successfull model who was going through a lot. She was the girlfriend of a modeling agency owner. He was murdered and found on the floor with her naked pictures lying on top of him. They found the killer and because she knew the killer she had to testify at the trial. She had a computer programming job according to her earning 60,000 a year. She started using drugs after the murder because of the stress and worries. She lost her job and took off to L.A. scared. She left with a friend from Washington D.C. and we never saw her again. She had to leave because the trial was starting.
There are so many millions of models and the many don't seem to care how much they seduce society. It is modern culture to use models to seduce people even to eat a certain kind of vegetable. I mean its ridiculous. The scriptures tell us many things to lead us away from the way of life most models live.
In the passage below it tells us the words written by Peter about the Apocolypse. There are words about the torments prepared for the woman who used their beauty to seduce men and cause them to sin. Much like the models of this world. I will list several scriptures regarding the words of the Lords prophets about woman and also about men who boast in their appearance. The carnal images of man and the lusts of the flesh the models use to lure the markets and decieve the masses. Not that there are none who are a pleasant sight but it is for the Glory of the Lord that we serve his righteousness without imitating those who are marked as evil.

This is a fragement of the apocrophal scriptures titled" The Apocolypse of Peter ". This passage is from the Akhmim Fragments
(Here begins the description of torments which we have, in another text, in the Akhmim fragment.)

Then shall men and women come unto the place prepared for them. By their tongues wherewith they have blasphemed the way of righteousness shall they be hanged up. There is spread under them unquenchable fire, that they escape it not.

Behold, another place: therein is a pit, great and full (of . . ) In it are they that have denied righteousness: and angels of punishment chastise them and there do they kindle upon them the fire of their torment.

And again behold [two: corrupt] women: they hang them up by their neck and by their hair; they shall cast them into the pit. These are they which plaited their hair, not for good (or, not to make them beautiful) but to turn them to fornication, that they might ensnare the souls of men unto perdition. And the men that lay with them in fornication shall be hung by their loins in that place of fire; and they shall say one to another: We knew not that we should come unto everlasting punishment.

And the murderers and them that have made common cause with them shall they cast into the fire, in a place full of venomous beasts, and they shall be tormented without rest, feeling their pains; and their worms shall be as many in number as a dark cloud. And the angel Ezrael shall bring forth the souls of them that have been slain, and they shall behold the torment of them that slew them, and say one to another: Righteousness and justice is the judgement of God. For we heard, but we believed not, that we should come into this place of eternal judgement.

And near by this flame shall be a pit, great and very deep, and into it floweth from above all manner of torment, foulness, and issue. And women are swallowed up therein up to their necks and tormented with great pain. These are they that have caused their children to be born untimely, and have corrupted the work of God that created them. Over against them shall be another place where sit their children [both] alive, and they cry unto God. And flashes (lightnings) go forth from those children and pierce the eyes of them that for fornication's sake have caused their destruction.

Other men and women shall stand above them, naked; and their children stand over against them in a place of delight, and sigh and cry unto God because of their parents, saying: These are they that have despised and cursed and transgressed thy commandments and delivered us unto death: they have cursed the angel that formed us, and have hanged us up, and withheld from us (or, begrudged us) the light which thou hast given unto all creatures. And the milk of their mothers flowing from their breasts shall congeal, and from it shall come beasts devouring flesh, which shall come forth and turn and torment them for ever with their husbands, because they forsook the commandments of God and slew their children. As for their children, they shall be delivered unto the angel Temlakos (i.e. a care-taking angel: see above, in the Fragments). And they that slew them shall be tormented eternally, for God willeth it so.

Ezrael the angel of wrath shall bring men and women, the half of their bodies burning, and cast them into a place of darkness, even the hell of men; and a spirit of wrath shall chastise them with all manner of torment, and a worm that sleepeth not shall devour their entrails: and these are the persecutors and betrayers of my righteous ones.

And beside them that are there, shall be other men and women, gnawing their tongues; and they shall torment them with red-hot iron and burn their eyes. These are they that slander and doubt of my righteousness. Other men and women whose works were done in deceitfulness shall have their lips cut off, and fire entereth into their mouth and their entrails. These are the false witnesses (al. these are they that caused the martyrs to die by their lying).

And beside them, in a place near at hand, upon the stone shall be a pillar of fire, and the pillar is sharper than swords. And there shall be men and women clad in rags and filthy garments, and they shall be cast thereon, to suffer the judgement of a torment that ceaseth not: these are they that trusted in their riches and despised the widows and the woman with fatherless children . . . before God.

And into another place hard by, full of filth, do they cast men and women up to the knees. These are they that lent money and took usury.

And other men and women cast themselves down from an high place and return again and run, and devils drive them. [These are the worshippers of idols] and they put them to the end of their witst (drive them up to the top of the height) and they cast themselves down. And thus do they continually, and are tormented for ever. These are they which have cut their flesh as [apostles] of a man: and the women that were with them . . . and these are the men that defiled themselves together as women. (This is very corrupt: but the sense is clear in the (Greek.)

And beside them (shall be a brazier ?) . . . and beneath them shall the angel Ezrael prepare a place of much fire: and all the idols of gold and silver, all idols, the work of men's hands, and the semblances of images of cats and lions, of creeping things and wild beasts, and the men and women that have prepared the images thereof, shall be in chains of fire and shall be chastised because of their error before the idols, and this is their judgement for ever. (In the Greek they beat each other with rods of fire: and this is better.)

And beside them shall be other men and women, burning in the fire of the judgement, and their torment is everlasting. These are they that have forsaken the commandment of God and followed the (persuasions ?) of devils.

The words of the Lord's prophets are many. Below is listed several passages describing the evils of woman and also in the first I will list is the words of The Patriarch Rueben which is taken from the testaments of the 12 patriarchs.

chapter 3
10 Pay no heed to the face of a woman, Nor associate with another man's wife, Nor meddle with affairs of womankind. 11 For had I not seen Bilhah bathing in a covered place, I had not fallen into this great iniquity. 12 For my mind taking in the thought of the woman's nakedness, suffered me not to sleep until I had 13 wrought the abominable thing. For while Jacob our father had gone to Isaac his father, when we were in Eder, near to Ephrath in Bethlehem, Bilhah became drunk and was asleep uncovered in her 14 chamber. Having therefore gone in and beheld nakedness, I wrought the impiety without her 15 perceiving it, and leaving her sleeping I departed. And forthwith an angel of God revealed to my father concerning my impiety, and he came and mourned over me, and touched her no more.

4 1 Pay no heed, therefore, my children, to the beauty of women, nor set your mind on their affairs; but walk in singleness of heart in the fear of the Lord, and expend labour on good works, and on study and on your flocks, until the Lord give you a wife, whom He will, that ye suffer not as I did. 2 For until my father's death I had not boldness to look in his face, or to speak to any of my brethren, 3 because of the reproach. Even until now my conscience causeth me anguish on account of my 4 impiety. And yet my father comforted me much and prayed for me unto the Lord, that the anger of the Lord might pass from me, even as the Lord showed. And thenceforth until now I have 5 been on my guard and sinned not. Therefore, my children, I say unto you, observe all things 6 whatsoever I command you, and ye shall not sin. For a pit unto the soul is the sin of fornication, separating it from God, and bringing it near to idols, because it deceiveth the mind and understanding, 7 and leadeth young men into hades before their time. For many hath fornication destroyed; because, though a man be old or noble, or rich or poor, he bringeth reproach upon 8 himself with the sons of men and derision with Beliar. For ye heard regarding Joseph how he guarded himself from a woman, and purged his thoughts from all fornication, and found favour in 9 the sight of God and men. For the Egyptian woman did many things unto him, and summoned 10 magicians, and offered him love potions, but the purpose of his soul admitted no evil desire. Therefore 11 the God of your fathers delivered him from every evil (and) hidden death. For if fornication overcomes not your mind, neither can Beliar overcome you.

5 1 For evil are women, my children; and since they have no power or strength over man, they use 2 wiles by outward attractions, that they may draw him to themselves. And whom they cannot 3 bewitch by outward attractions, him they overcome by craft. For moreover, concerning them, the angel of the Lord told me, and taught me, that women are overcome by the spirit of fornication more than men, and in their heart they plot against men; and by means of their adornment they deceive first their minds, and by the glance of the eye instill the poison, and then through the accomplished 4 act they take them captive. For a woman cannot force a man openly, but by a harlot's 5 bearing she beguiles him. Flee, therefore, fornication, my children, and command your wives and your daughters, that they adorn not their heads and faces to deceive the mind: because every woman 6 who useth these wiles hath been reserved for eternal punishment. For thus they allured the Watchers who were before the flood; for as these continually beheld them, they lusted after them, and they conceived the act in their mind; for they changed themselves into the shape of men, and 7 appeared to them when they were with their husbands. And the women lusting in their minds after their forms, gave birth to giants, for the Watchers appeared to them as reaching even unto heaven.

6 1 Beware, therefore, of fornication; and if you wish to be pure in mind, guard your senses from every 2 woman. And command the women likewise not to associate with men, that they also may be pure 3 in mind. For constant meetings, even though the ungodly deed be not wrought, are to them an 4 irremediable disease, and to us a destruction of Beliar and an eternal reproach. For in fornication 5 there is neither understanding nor godliness, and all jealousy dwelleth in the lust thereof. Therefore, then I say unto you, ye will be jealous against the sons of Levi, and will seek to be exalted 6 over them; but ye shall not be able. For God will avenge them, and ye shall die by an evil death. 7 For to Levi God gave the sovereignty [and to Judah with him and to me also, and to Dan and 8 Joseph, that we should be for rulers]. Therefore I command you to hearken to Levi, because he shall know the law of the Lord, and shall give ordinances for judgement and shall sacrifice for all Israel until the consummation of the times, as the anointed High Priest, of whom the Lord spake, 9 I adjure you by the God of heaven to do truth each one unto his neighbour and to entertain love 10 each one for his brother. And draw ye near to Levi in humbleness of heart, that ye may receive 11 a blessing from his mouth. For he shall bless Israel and Judah, because him hath the Lord chosen to 12 be king over all the nation. And bow down before his seed, for on our behalf it will die in wars visible and invisible, and will be among you an eternal king.

Notice how this passage warns us against the world and its models. That to look at these woman and their beauty is very wrong and it is how they can poison us and cause us to sin.
This is from the words of Judah In the testament of Judah

17 1 And now, I command you, my children, not to love money, nor to gaze upon the beauty of women; because for the sake of money and beauty I was led astray to Bathshua the Canaanite. 2, 3 [For I know that because of these two things shall my race fall into wickedness. For even wise men among my sons shall they mar, and shall cause the kingdom of Judah to be diminished, which 4 the Lord gave me because of my obedience to my father. For I never caused grief to Jacob, my 5 father: for all things whatsoever he commanded I did. And Isaac, the father of my father, blessed 6 me to be king in Israel, and Jacob further blessed me in like manner. And I know that from me shall the kingdom be established.

Do you see that the Love of Money and the beauty of woman is how the race of Judah fell into wickedness and also how the kingdom of Judah diminished.  Isn't this much like America's problems. Isn't it how many of the worlds problems are right now. The love of money isnt that what really causes wars and commotions around the world. The beauty of woman isnt that what is causing so many people to commit adultery and so many broken families and so many evil perversions like pornography.

Combine the two and you have modern advertisement. Every commercial on t.v. is about the love of money and the beauty of woman. Every bill board on the roads. We can't even use the internet without the Love of Money and beauty of woman being broadcasted on our networks. Every site nearly has advertisements for money lovers using the beauty of woman to lure us from the life of christ and the righteous peace of the Lord.

Proverbs 6

23. For the commandment is a lamp; and the law is light; and reproofs of instruction are the way of life:

24. To keep thee from the evil woman, from the flattery of the tongue of a strange woman.

25. Lust not after her beauty in thine heart; neither let her take thee with her eyelids.

26. For by means of a whorish woman a man is brought to a piece of bread: and the adultress will hunt for the precious life.

Chapter 7

1. My son, keep my words, and lay up my commandments with thee.

2. Keep my commandments, and live; and my law as the apple of thine eye.

3. Bind them upon thy fingers, write them upon the table of thine heart.

4. Say unto wisdom, Thou art my sister; and call understanding thy kinswoman:

5. That they may keep thee from the strange woman, from the stranger which flattereth with her words.

6. For at the window of my house I looked through my casement,

7. And beheld among the simple ones, I discerned among the youths, a young man void of understanding,

8. Passing through the street near her corner; and he went the way to her house,

9. In the twilight, in the evening, in the black and dark night:

10. And, behold, there met him a woman with the attire of an harlot, and subtil of heart.

11. (She is loud and stubborn; her feet abide not in her house:

12. Now is she without, now in the streets, and lieth in wait at every corner.)

13. So she caught him, and kissed him, and with an impudent face said unto him,

14. I have peace offerings with me; this day have I payed my vows.

15. Therefore came I forth to meet thee, diligently to seek thy face, and I have found thee.

16. I have decked my bed with coverings of tapestry, with carved works, with fine linen of Egypt.

17. I have perfumed my bed with myrrh, aloes, and cinnamon.

18. Come, let us take our fill of love until the morning: let us solace ourselves with loves.

19. For the goodman is not at home, he is gone a long journey:

20. He hath taken a bag of money with him, and will come home at the day appointed.

21. With her much fair speech she caused him to yield, with the flattering of her lips she forced him.

22. He goeth after her straightway, as an ox goeth to the slaughter, or as a fool to the correction of the stocks;

23. Till a dart strike through his liver; as a bird hasteth to the snare, and knoweth not that it is for his life.

24. Hearken unto me now therefore, O ye children, and attend to the words of my mouth.

25. Let not thine heart decline to her ways, go not astray in her paths.

26. For she hath cast down many wounded: yea, many strong men have been slain by her.

27. Her house is the way to hell, going down to the chambers of death.

Proverbs 9
This one reminds of both a call girl such as escorts you find on and also of the woman in Hollywood such as Paris Hilton and Britney Spears. Also woman like those on myspace and on using the webcam showing themselves on adult sites.
13. A foolish woman is clamorous: she is simple, and knoweth nothing.

14. For she sitteth at the door of her house, on a seat in the high places of the city,

15. To call passengers who go right on their ways:

16. Whoso is simple, let him turn in hither: and as for him that wanteth understanding, she saith to him,

17. Stolen waters are sweet, and bread eaten in secret is pleasant.

18. But he knoweth not that the dead are there; and that her guests are in the depths of hell.

Proverbs 23
26. My son, give me thine heart, and let thine eyes observe my ways.

27. For a whore is a deep ditch; and a strange woman is a narrow pit.

28. She also lieth in wait as for a prey, and increaseth the transgressors among men.

29. Who hath woe? who hath sorrow? who hath contentions? who hath babbling? who hath wounds without cause? who hath redness of eyes?

Proverbs 30

20. Such is the way of an adulterous woman; she eateth, and wipeth her mouth, and saith, I have done no wickedness

Proverb 31
This proverb is about the virtous woman unlike those who are models

10. Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies.

11. The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil.

12. She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life.

13. She seeketh wool, and flax, and worketh willingly with her hands.

14. She is like the merchants' ships; she bringeth her food from afar.

15. She riseth also while it is yet night, and giveth meat to her household, and a portion to her maidens.

16. She considereth a field, and buyeth it: with the fruit of her hands she planteth a vineyard.

17. She girdeth her loins with strength, and strengtheneth her arms.

18. She perceiveth that her merchandise is good: her candle goeth not out by night.

19. She layeth her hands to the spindle, and her hands hold the distaff.

20. She stretcheth out her hand to the poor; yea, she reacheth forth her hands to the needy.

21. She is not afraid of the snow for her household: for all her household are clothed with scarlet.

22. She maketh herself coverings of tapestry; her clothing is silk and purple.

23. Her husband is known in the gates, when he sitteth among the elders of the land.

24. She maketh fine linen, and selleth it; and delivereth girdles unto the merchant.

25. Strength and honour are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come.

26. She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness.

27. She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness.

28. Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her.

29. Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest them all.

30. Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised.

31. Give her of the fruit of her hands; and let her own works praise her in the gates.

This is from the Wisdom of Sirach

[1] Be not jealous over the wife of thy bosom, and teach her not an evil lesson against thyself.

[2] Give not thy soul unto a woman to set her foot upon thy substance.

[3] Meet not with an harlot, lest thou fall into her snares.

[4] Use not much the company of a woman that is a singer, lest thou be taken with her attempts.

[5] Gaze not on a maid, that thou fall not by those things that are precious in her.

[6] Give not thy soul unto harlots, that thou lose not thine inheritance.

[7] Look not round about thee in the streets of the city, neither wander thou in the solitary place thereof.

[8] Turn away thine eye from a beautiful woman, and look not upon another's beauty; for many have been deceived by the beauty of a woman; for herewith love is kindled as a fire.

[1] In three things I was beautified, and stood up beautiful both before God and men: the unity of brethren, the love of neighbours, a man and a wife that agree together.

[2] Three sorts of men my soul hateth, and I am greatly offended at their life: a poor man that is proud, a rich man that is a liar, and an old adulterer that doateth.

[3] If thou hast gathered nothing in thy youth, how canst thou find any thing in thine age?

[4] O how comely a thing is judgment for gray hairs, and for ancient men to know counsel!

[5] O how comely is the wisdom of old men, and understanding and counsel to men of honour.

[6] Much experience is the crown of old men, and the fear of God is their glory.

[7] There be nine things which I have judged in mine heart to be happy, and the tenth I will utter with my tongue: A man that hath joy of his children; and he that liveth to see the fall of his enemy:

[8] Well is him that dwelleth with a wife of understanding, and that hath not slipped with his tongue, and that hath not served a man more unworthy than himself:

[9] Well is him that hath found prudence, and he that speaketh in the ears of them that will hear:

[10] O how great is he that findeth wisdom! yet is there none above him that feareth the Lord.

[11] But the love of the Lord passeth all things for illumination: he that holdeth it, whereto shall he be likened?

[12] The fear of the Lord is the beginning of his love: and faith is the beginning of cleaving unto him.

[13] [Give me] any plague, but the plague of the heart: and any wickedness, but the wickedness of a woman:

[14] And any affliction, but the affliction from them that hate me: and any revenge, but the revenge of enemies.

[15] There is no head above the head of a serpent; and there is no wrath above the wrath of an enemy.

[16] I had rather dwell with a lion and a dragon, than to keep house with a wicked woman.

[17] The wickedness of a woman changeth her face, and darkeneth her countenance like sackcloth.

[18] Her husband shall sit among his neighbours; and when he heareth it shall sigh bitterly.

[19] All wickedness is but little to the wickedness of a woman: let the portion of a sinner fall upon her.

[20] As the climbing up a sandy way is to the feet of the aged, so is a wife full of words to a quiet man.

[21] Stumble not at the beauty of a woman, and desire her not for pleasure.

[22] A woman, if she maintain her husband, is full of anger, impudence, and much reproach.

[23] A wicked woman abateth the courage, maketh an heavy countenance and a wounded heart: a woman that will not comfort her husband in distress maketh weak hands and feeble knees.

[24] Of the woman came the beginning of sin, and through her we all die.

[25] Give the water no passage; neither a wicked woman liberty to gad abroad.

[26] If she go not as thou wouldest have her, cut her off from thy flesh, and give her a bill of divorce, and let her go.

[1] Blessed is the man that hath a virtuous wife, for the number of his days shall be double.

[2] A virtuous woman rejoiceth her husband, and he shall fulfil the years of his life in peace.

[3] A good wife is a good portion, which shall be given in the portion of them that fear the Lord.

[4] Whether a man be rich or poor, if he have a good heart toward the Lord, he shall at all times rejoice with a cheerful countenance.

[5] There be three things that mine heart feareth; and for the fourth I was sore afraid: the slander of a city, the gathering together of an unruly multitude, and a false accusation: all these are worse than death.

[6] But a grief of heart and sorrow is a woman that is jealous over another woman, and a scourge of the tongue which communicateth with all.

[7] An evil wife is a yoke shaken to and fro: he that hath hold of her is as though he held a scorpion.

[8] A drunken woman and a gadder abroad causeth great anger, and she will not cover her own shame.

[9] The whoredom of a woman may be known in her haughty looks and eyelids.

[10] If thy daughter be shameless, keep her in straitly, lest she abuse herself through overmuch liberty.

[11] Watch over an impudent eye: and marvel not if she trespass against thee.

[12] She will open her mouth, as a thirsty traveller when he hath found a fountain, and drink of every water near her: by every hedge will she sit down, and open her quiver against every arrow.

[13] The grace of a wife delighteth her husband, and her discretion will fatten his bones.

[14] A silent and loving woman is a gift of the Lord; and there is nothing so much worth as a mind well instructed.

[15] A shamefaced and faithful woman is a double grace, and her continent mind cannot be valued.

[16] As the sun when it ariseth in the high heaven; so is the beauty of a good wife in the ordering of her house.

[17] As the clear light is upon the holy candlestick; so is the beauty of the face in ripe age.

[18] As the golden pillars are upon the sockets of silver; so are the fair feet with a constant heart.

[19] My son, keep the flower of thine age sound; and give not thy strength to strangers.

[20] When thou hast gotten a fruitful possession through all the field, sow it with thine own seed, trusting in the goodness of thy stock.

[21] So thy race which thou leavest shall be magnified, having the confidence of their good descent.

[22] An harlot shall be accounted as spittle; but a married woman is a tower against death to her husband.

[23] A wicked woman is given as a portion to a wicked man: but a godly woman is given to him that feareth the Lord.

[24] A dishonest woman contemneth shame: but an honest woman will reverence her husband.

[25] A shameless woman shall be counted as a dog; but she that is shamefaced will fear the Lord.

[26] A woman that honoureth her husband shall be judged wise of all; but she that dishonoureth him in her pride shall be counted ungodly of all.

[27] A loud crying woman and a scold shall be sought out to drive away the enemies.

[28] There be two things that grieve my heart; and the third maketh me angry: a man of war that suffereth poverty; and men of understanding that are not set by; and one that returneth from righteousness to sin; the Lord prepareth such an one for the sword.

[29] A merchant shall hardly keep himself from doing wrong; and an huckster shall not be freed from sin.
