Because those of us who believe in Jesus are illumined we can know the salvation there is in Jesus Christ. When we think of the doctor or need to go we expect Jesus to Heal us. We expect the Father in Heaven to guard over us or our loved ones. So when we think of modern medicine we assume that it is Gods work they are treating us like they are helping the church. The catholic church and presbeterians own many of the medical facilties. Although what importance is it to the Lord it isnt really healing our soul to use drugs prescribed by the doctor. The scriptures doesn't tell us that the work of a physician is the holy work of the gospel. When grandma has to goto the doctor who we know is Gods servant we assume the doctor is a kind merciful soul who will treat grandma right because he was anointed by God.
That is where the illusion comes from. Tyranny has a way to take root in our corporate world without us having any power to stop us. If we all shun the evils that bring it on and put our trust in the Lord Gods power can stop it from having power over us.
In the bible it tells us to be sober minded in fact sobriety is a requirement to get into heaven. Drunkards shall not enter the kingdom of heaven the gospels tell us. Arn't prescription pain killers and other drugs intoxicating. I was watching a show on pharmacy's and it explained that somewhere around 80 percent of the pharmicists are addicted to prescription drugs. Thats alot if those numbers are correct. That is so much it would mean that modern medicine is very evil to God. What happened to the healing power of Jesus Christ. Like in the scriptures when it says we will be able to trample serpents and scorpions. 1 john 10 : 19 Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. I am currently learning more about the american indian natural herbal medicine. I dont know that it is any replacement for modern science but is it a way to keep from being handed over to such a costly and dangerous source of medicine?.
In this chapter of the book of Sirach an apocraphyl wisdom text it tells us to honor the physician. In modern times I feel as though there as much of a deception in medicine as there is in ministry. If people would pretend they are followers of christ wouldnt modern medicine be as vunerable to deception. Isnt money more important in modern times with such a corporate cause. Also this scripture was written before the gospels. Honestly I have spent much time in the chapels of hospitals and have never needed to see the physician except for minor issues. No broken bones, no serious illnesses, I had maybe 6 colds in over 10 years in my 20's and early 30's . I have only had a few in my 30's . I have only had the flue a few times in 20 years. I am 38 and dont feel as vivacious as my younger years but still I look to God for my health not modern medicine. I have investigated chi healing a bit which still intrigues me but I am never certain its virtue is as sound as it seems. Putting our confidence in the work of someone hands like a physician isnt always easy. I do honor the physician in some sense but I dont believe it is the work of Jesus Christ such as the gospels furtherance tells us is the Lords work. In my own understanding I understand the work of the Lord to be a light to the world, salt of the earth, to tear down all knowledge that exalts itself before the Lord Most High, to take the gospel into all ends of the earth, public reading of the gospel, praying for the sick of the church, being peace makers, helping the children come unto the Lord, Being witnesses of The Gospels truth. Arnt the spiritual gifts more to be desired than the modern orthodox and catholic church honor. Shouldnt there really be more faith healing then there is. If all someone needs to do is ask of God for the gifts of the spirit why are so many lacking in that faith to ask of God. What are people afraid of . I was trained as a combat medic however I really didnt want to train to be a combat medic. In fact I had voiced to the recruiter that I did not want to be a combat medic. When I got to AIT training after basic thats when they told me I was assigned to a combat medic
Honour the physician for the need thou hast of him: for the most High hath created him.
For all healing is from God, and he shall receive gifts of the king.
The skill of the physician shall lift up his head, and in the sight of great men he shall be praised.
The most High hath created medicines out of the earth, and a wise man will not abhor them.
Was not bitter water made sweet with wood?
The virtue of these things is come to the knowledge of men, and the most High hath given knowledge to men, that he may be honoured in his wonders.
By these he shall cure and shall allay their pains, and of these the apothecary shall make sweet confections, and shall make up ointments of health, and of his works there shall be no end.
For the peace of God is over all the face of the earth.
My son, in thy sickness neglect not thyself, but pray to the Lord, and he shall heal thee.
Turn away from sin and order thy hands aright, and cleanse thy heart from all offence.
Give a sweet savour, and a memorial of fine flour, and make a fat offering, and then give place to the physician.
For the Lord created him: and let him not depart from thee, for his works are necessary.
For there is a time when thou must fall into their hands:
And they shall beseech the Lord, that he would prosper what they give for ease and remedy, for their conversation.
He that sinneth in the sight of his Maker, shall fall into the hands of the physician.
My son, shed tears over the dead, and begin to lament as if thou hadst suffered some great harm, and according to judgment cover his body, and neglect not his burial.
And for fear of being ill spoken of weep bitterly for a day, and then comfort thyself in thy sadness.
And make mourning for him according to his merit for a day, or two, for fear of detraction.
For of sadness cometh death, and it overwhelmeth the strength, and the sorrow of the heart boweth down the neck.
In withdrawing aside sorrow remaineth: and the substance of the poor is according to his heart.
Give not up thy heart to sadness, but drive it from thee: and remember the latter end.
Forget it not: for there is no returning, and thou shalt do him no good, and shalt hurt thyself.
Remember my judgment: for thine also shall be so: yesterday for me, and to day for thee.
When the dead is at rest, let his remembrance rest, and comfort him in the departing of his spirit.
The wisdom of a scribe cometh by his time of leisure: and he that is less in action, shall receive wisdom. A scribe... That is, a doctor of the law, or, a learned man.
With what wisdom shall he be furnished that holdeth the plough, and that glorieth in the goad, that driveth the oxen therewith, and is occupied in their labours, and his whole talk is about the offspring of bulls?
He shall give his mind to turn up furrows, and his care is to give the kine fodder.
So every craftsman and workmaster that laboureth night and day, he who maketh graven seals, and by his continual diligence varieth the figure: he shall give his mind to the resemblance of the picture, and by his watching shall finish the work.
So doth the smith sitting by the anvil and considering the iron work. The vapour of the fire wasteth his flesh, and he fighteth with the heat of the furnace.
The noise of the hammer is always in his ears, and his eye is upon the pattern of the vessel he maketh.
He setteth his mind to finish his work, and his watching to polish them to perfection.
So doth the potter sitting at his work, turning the wheel about with his feet, who is always carefully set to his work, and maketh all his work by number:
He fashioneth the clay with his arm, and boweth down his strength before his feet:
He shall give his mind to finish the glazing, and his watching to make clean the furnace.
All these trust to their hands, and every one is wise in his own art.
Without these a city is not built.
And they shall not dwell, nor walk about therein, and they shall not go up into the assembly.
Upon the judges' seat they shall not sit, and the ordinance of judgment they shall not understand, neither shall they declare discipline and judgment, and they shall not be found where parables are spoken:
But they shall strengthen the state of the world, and their prayer shall be in the work of their craft, applying their soul, and searching in the law of the most High.
This is continued from above my blog is having trouble and wont allow me to type anymore above here. >>>>>>>combat medic unit. I got out of the occupation as soon as I could but only after 6 months of training and learning skills to save peoples lives. However one of the medic training units was called the"Diablo Medics" or Devil Medics", Most of the Medics were derelict drug addicts and drunks, many were fornicating and into pornography, they werent you're holy lot of physician. Yet they were trained to be hero of the hero. To save lifes of trained killers killing people. Many of whom are not the church. One private the drill sergeant called the Witch Doctor because he was a freemason corrections officer who attended wicki services on sunday.
My point is even though this passage of Sirach speaks so well of the physicians arnt the physicians wether they are working at a catholic facility or corporate owned one arnt there many who just arnt the church. Arnt many staff members of hospitals as corrupt as everything else in this world and isnt it hypocrisy and tyranny as much as any tyranny. The worlds health I dont believe is the church's concern in fact isnt it sin that people are so ill. I know there are christian doctors but modern medicine itself is so suspicious to me anyways I think that its almost another antichrist deception. I cant know everything and cant heal today anyone because of some gift God gave me. However dont we need to watch out and should we be yoked together with the world when It comes to our health concerns. Isnt that unholy.
In the passage of Sirach about medicine it tells us we can make medicine from the earth. The Indians natural healing herbs a good example. There are more then 200 weeds that are actually used in the making of medicine. I found that out reading a book on weed control for farming. Aspirin is one of those medicines weeds are used for. However if food is farmed and grown in the garden and medicine a similar way isnt it similar the industry. Like food isnt medicine herbs and products changed into many recipes and processed for profit. People over eat because of Gluttonous desires but dont they try and medically explain it as sickness that genetic. Is Gluttony genetic?. I spoke with a truck driver that was 100 pounds over weight. He said the doctors told him he was going to die if he didnt lose weight(Sin is Death). He had no choice to lose weight. He went on a one Mc Donald's hamburger a day diet and in a few months lost over 100 pounds. He ate one hamburger not a big mac and drank water all day. Doesnt sound healthy but it worked for him. Was it genetic he is now almost underweight. Was it genetic, or did he just have no care in his heart until he thought he was going to die?.
Think of how many food products there are yet cant we get the pure nutrition from just eating vegetables from a garden and meat from the market. Do we need really to eat all those food products. Arnt they mostly thought out for profit reasons. Didnt the tobacco companies buy up companies like Nabisco. How often do you hear from someone" are you going to eat that do you know whats in it". That is just about food. If medicine is produced a very similar way isnt it also produced like food for profit. Yet couldnt we very well just like food just eat the raw product from the garden or its raw source or purest refined source. There is alot of tyranny involved with the corporate world its a financial beast so to speak manufacturers of medicine I believe are in are for the money not to do God any service. We have to discern in these times who are the Lords people and what works are really honorable.
I believe the gospels warn us of the times and the disguises of the Lords enemies is many. Isnt a doctor or medicine kind of like the angel of light the devil disguised himself as . Like the Angel of light there really are Angels of light but did that change that the devil could disguise himself as one. Doesnt the word tell us the anti christ will decieve even the elect. Couldnt a doctor decieve the elect easier then a carpenter or craftsman. Even in our current affairs dont politicians use health care as a guise to lure voters.
