These scriptures seem to state that pauls ministry was prophesied about and his work to commission the Gentiles with knowledge of the Lord. Even stating the Lord will convict Israel through the chosen ones of the Gentiles.
It states in the gospels also that we are to be a jew to jew, roman to roman, greek to greek, and gentile to gentile. So not being a jew , roman, or greek, but a gentile, I am not so certain of the existance of the Roman church Greek Church and the Church in Israel being the same as the Church which is Gentile in its function. If it is the same then why the distinction of roman or greek. Why would God force a gentile to be subject to Roman rites that are distinctly traditional as roman though the church is absolutely niether greek or jew nor roman but universal in rite. Thus the term catholic so Roman catholic by tradition is office of confirmation. Why would a gentile need the confirmation of roman or greek to be established in the Lords work. Arnt we the gentile who was prophesied about by Benjamin. Arnt the gentile who Paul worked so hard to establish. Romans of course in those days had conquered gentile lands and not until they had rite as roman church did the gentile establish their own atleast not the european. Its not supposed to seem so cultural to believe in Jesus. I am glad in these times I can start a ministry not calling it roman , greek, or anthing else cultural. The doctrine of these times I can only trust the Lord has ordained even angels to guard. The greek and roman church Lords authority over the doctrine. The prostitant dont even care that they have taken from the word or believe there is any authority the roman or greek may have as traditional office of church. That I do not go so far to dishonor the established fact that they hold the holy texts in their estate. How deny the earthly fact they are guardians of the early christian texts. I would not myself try and Lord authority establishing ministry just excersize my freedom to not seek approval or further the traditions of rite that is not establishing my works or in reality the author of my faith.
I wonder how pauls work to enlighten the Gentile and his rebuke of Peter for living as the Jews while he lived as the Gentiles. Would the Lord Christ have stationed the Romans to Lord authority. The word Gentile I assume means all of us who are not roman , greek , or Jew. Which would mean the so many kinds and nationality. Being an American Anglo-norwegian I dont know how our call is stationed. Knowing there was many divisions in the catholic church do to the many places of the world. There are over 20 rites of catholic priests only the Roman have a requirement of celebacy which is contradictive to the rights of an apostle. There used to be a vow of poverty which takes away the right to work which was also a right of an apostle. Pauls ministry was certainly to not give dominion to the Roman or Greek over the Gentile . His ministry was to tell the Romans and Greeks of those times that the Gentile were Gods children and more worthy then the jew to inherit eternal life. So how does it all fit together in the gospels furtherance?. I will to believe that we are all absolutely individual in the flesh yet crucified and One in the spirit. Our everyday war against the flesh and darkness is a higher fight than the nature of our material existance. What our baptisms reveal now is the Grace of God to graft us together in the vine. Our life is definately not subject to traditions of Romans if we are Greek, or either greek or roman if we are gentile. Nor are jews subject to any or vice versa. So why such a high office like the Popes unless it is to say the Roman stature and the Roman rite is higher than the Gentile which was who God should chose to condemn israel he didnt say in benjamins prophecy he would condemn israel by choosing romans or greeks or jews just gentile
Testament of Benjamin chapter2
23 And He shall convict Israel through the chosen ones of the Gentiles, even as He reproved Esau through the Midianites, who deceived their brethren, so that they fell into fornication, and idolatry; and they were alienated from God, becoming therefore children in the portion of them that fear the Lord.
24 If ye therefore, my children, walk in holiness according to the commandments of the Lord, ye shall again dwell securely with me, and all Israel shall be gathered unto the Lord.
25 And I shall no longer be called a ravening wolf on account of your ravages, but a worker of the Lord distributing food to them that work what is good.
26 And there shall arise in the latter days one beloved of the Lord, of the tribe of Judah and Levi, a doer of His good pleasure in his mouth, with new knowledge enlightening the Gentiles.
27 Until the consummation of the age shall he be in the synagogues of the Gentiles, and among their rulers, as a strain of music in the mouth of all.
28 And he shall be inscribed in the holy books, both his work and his word, and he shall be a chosen one of God for ever.
29 And through them he shall go to and fro as Jacob my father, saying: He shall fill up that which lacketh of thy tribe.
30 And when he had said these things he stretched out his feet.
31 And died in a beautiful and good sleep.
32 And his sons did as he had enjoined them, and they took up his body and buried it in Hebron with his fathers.
33 And the number of the days of his life was a hundred and twenty-five years.
22But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe.
23But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed.
24Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.
25But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.
26For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.
27For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.
28There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.
29And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.
1Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved.
2For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge.
3For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.
4For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.
5For Moses describeth the righteousness which is of the law, That the man which doeth those things shall live by them.
6But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down from above:)
7Or, Who shall descend into the deep? (that is, to bring up Christ again from the dead.)
8But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;
9That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
11For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
12For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.
13For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
14How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?
15And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!
16But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report?
17So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
18But I say, Have they not heard? Yes verily, their sound went into all the earth, and their words unto the ends of the world.
19But I say, Did not Israel know? First Moses saith, I will provoke you to jealousy by them that are no people, and by a foolish nation I will anger you.
20But Esaias is very bold, and saith, I was found of them that sought me not; I was made manifest unto them that asked not after me.
21But to Israel he saith, All day long I have stretched forth my hands unto a disobedient and gainsaying people.
