An interesting Ode of Solomon

This is a neat little ode of solomon from the apocrapha text of the Odes of Solomon. In our lives we all have to look in the mirror. Many of us as we age and even in our youth concern ourselves with our appearance. This ode is one to hang in the bathroom I have never seen a church bathroom with this ode in the bathroom but all should have it on a plaque I believe. I am going to keep this one to put in my bathroom. Today is the first time I read it.
There is a psalm text that is David's prayer about how the wicked have vexed his eyes and countenance. Evil people hold wicked imaginations about their carnal appearance and they have no spiritual illumination in their heart for their eyes to see as Gods servant. They only know the evils and darkness of heart their eyes full of the worlds evils. So many people in this world either care as the world about thier hygiene and appearance and the clothes they wear, Or they are filthy perverse from porn , drugs, and rock and roll. We watch television and people selling their hygiene products and all the entertainers of Hollywood and the sports arena's who glory in their own image. So many people liken themselves or others appearance as those appearances they see on t.v. . However isnt the Lord who's image we were created in . Isnt he alive on his throne each day . Isnt it he who is perfect and with an appearance beyond our own fathom. The Holy Spirit teaches our hearts and minds many things in our walk with christ. This scripture is excellent to remember the Lord when we are getting ready in the morning for our day. There is also a passage in Ruebens testament that pertains to woman such as the woman in modern day . Especially to those wonderfull cheerleaders, models, and dance clubbers of the world.

ODE 13.
A strange little Ode
1 Behold! the Lord is our mirror: open the eyes and see them in Him: and learn the manner of your face:
2 And tell forth praise to His spirit: and wipe off the filth from your face: and love His holiness and clothe yourselves therewith:
3 And be without stain at all times before Him. Hallelujah.

testament of Rueben

13 For evil are women, my children; and since they have
p. 223
no power or strength over man, they use wiles by outward attractions, that they may draw him to themselves.
14 And whom they cannot bewitch by outward attractions, him they overcome by craft.
15 For moreover, concerning them, the angel of the Lord told me, and taught me, that women are overcome by the spirit of fornication more than men, and in their heart they plot against men; and by means of their adornment they deceive first their minds, and by the glance of the eye instil the poison, and then through the accomplished act they take them captive.
16 For a woman cannot force a man openly, but by a harlot's bearing she beguiles him.
17 Flee, therefore, fornication, my children, and command your wives and your daughters, that they adorn not their heads and faces to deceive the mind: because every woman who useth these wiles bath been reserved for eternal punishment.
